Open the Get Action Messages window.
Generates and displays action messages for the selected item.
The program then tracks the item to determine whether there has been any direct change to its demand-supply pattern since the last planning. This could be the result of any of the following:
-
New or changed sales orders
-
New or changed purchase or production orders
-
Changed component lines in a production order
If such a change is detected, the program issues an action message, which alerts the user to the imbalance between supply and demand. The action message proposes an adjustment to the existing plan in order to restore the balance.
To run the batch job from the planning worksheet, click Actions, point to Functions, and then click Get Action Messages to open the batch job request window.
Click OK to start the batch job. Then the program displays any relevant orders, along with the action message proposals, in the planning worksheet. The Original Due Date, Due Date, Original Quantity and Quantity fields may also be filled in, depending on the content of the action message.
Now you can decide whether or not to accept the proposed action message.
Note |
---|
The program only plans for those items that have the Order Tracking Policy field set to Tracking & Action Msg. on the General FastTab on the item card. |
