The default work date is the date that is specified in the Date and Time dialog box in Control Panel. To perform tasks such as completing transactions for a date that is not the current date, you may have to temporarily change the work date.

| The work date is only changed until you close the company or until the date changes. If you open a different company or open the same company the next day and still have to use a different work date, then you must set the work date again. |

To change the work date from the Microsoft Dynamics NAV menu
On the Application menu
, choose Set Work Date.In the Work Date field, select the date from the calendar.
To change the work date from the status bar
Select the date in the status bar at the bottom of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
In the Work Date field, select the date from the calendar.
