Specifies how many units of the assembly component you want to post as consumed when you post the assembly order.
By default, the field contains the expected quantity according to the assembly BOM and the quantity in the Quantity to Assemble field on the assembly order header.
Note |
---|
You cannot enter a greater quantity than the value in the Remaining Quantity field on the assembly order line. To record overconsumption, you must increase the value in the Quantity per field. |
After the assembly order is partially posted, the value in this field decreases, and the posted quantity is added to the Consumed Quantity field and subtracted from the Remaining Quantity field.
Note |
---|
The value in the Remaining Quantity field is used in advanced warehousing when you use the Warehouse Pick window to pick assembly components. In basic warehousing, when you use the Inventory Movement window to pick assembly components, the value in the Quantity to Consume field is used. This means that you cannot modify the Quantity to Consume field if an inventory movement exists for the assembly order line. However, if a warehouse pick exists for the assembly order line, then you can modify the Quantity to Consume field, for example to record that you consumed more or less than expected. |
