This topic describes the frequently used setup combinations to show how cash flow forecasts are made.

Cash Flow Payment Terms

Cash flow payment terms work in the similar way as standard payment terms. Cash flow payment terms must contain a due date calculation formula that is used to calculate the due date. In addition, cash flow payment terms can contain a discount date calculation formula with a discount percentage that is used to calculate the cash discount date and amount. After you have assigned cash flow payment terms to a customer or vendor, the cash flow date is calculated based on either the due date or the cash discount date. In addition to the cash flow discount date, the cash discount amount is also calculated.

For more information about standard payment terms, see Payment Terms and How to: Set Up Payment Terms.

Note
There are a variety of options for setting up standard payment terms and cash flow payment terms. Different setup combinations affect how cash flow forecast dates and amounts are calculated. If you are familiar with these setup combinations, you can understand how cash flow forecast dates and amounts are calculated.

Note
Cash flow payment terms are not valid in the Italian version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015.
