You can export your inventory analysis views to Microsoft Excel. In Excel, you can analyze and work with data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV using the full range of features in Excel.
To export inventory analysis views to Excel
In the Search box, enter Invt. Analysis by Dimensions, and then choose the related link.
On the Options FastTab, in the Show field, select either Actual Amounts or Budgeted Amounts. If you select Budgeted Amounts, the Show Amount field must contain Amount.
Fill in the rest of the fields on the FastTabs.
When you have finished filling in the fields, on the Navigate tab, in the Actions group, choose Export to Excel.

| The maximum possible number of lines in Excel is approximately 65000. If your analysis view generates too many lines, an error message will appear in Excel. |

| In Excel, the column headings always display the code. If you select the Inv. Analysis by Dimensions window in the Show Column Name field, the column headings will display both codes and names. |
