You can open Microsoft Dynamics NAV data from any List, Worksheet, or ListPlus page in Microsoft Excel.
Important |
---|
Only data from tables is included when you open a page in Excel. For example, in the Planning Worksheet page, the Warning column is displayed on the page but is not exported to Excel because this is a calculated field. |
You can also export data from a report to Excel. For more information, see How to: View and Print Reports.
The following procedure describes how to open sales journal lines in Excel, but the same steps also apply to any list or worksheet. You can also send a Microsoft Dynamics NAV card to Excel. A worksheet is created for each Microsoft Dynamics NAV FastTab.
To open data from journal lines in Excel
In the Search box, enter Sales Journals, and then choose the related link.
If you use the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Windows client, in the Application menu , choose Print & Send, and then choose Microsoft Excel.
If you use the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client, on the General tab, choose Open in Excel.
A new workbook with the sales journal lines opens. The first two rows display company information and information about when the data was last updated.
If you have configured Microsoft Dynamics NAV to use Microsoft Office 365, data is sent to Excel Online. If you have Excel installed, you can then open the document in the full version of Excel. For more information, see Integrating with Office 365 and SharePoint Online.
