If you plan a visit to a customer or a vendor, you can get a map with route directions from your online map service. Online Map can be accessed from the Navigate menu on the following cards in Microsoft Dynamics NAV:

If there is no code in the Country/Region Code field, the online map will not be able to find directions. For more information about how you can import a set of default records, see How to: Set Up Online Map.

By selecting buttons from the selection window, you can quickly get maps and directions to or from two different types of destinations, to or from your company and the address that you look up in the card, or from any address to any other address.

To get directions in online map to or from your company

  1. Open a Customer card.

  2. On the Navigate tab, in the Customer group, choose Online Map.

  3. Choose the Directions from my company button.

  4. Online Map opens a map that shows the route from your company to the destination or addressee with route direction in the language that you have selected.

Tip
If you want the direction from the addressee to your company, choose the Directions to my company button instead.

To get directions in online map to or from other destinations

  1. Open a Customer card.

  2. On the Navigate tab, in the Customer group, choose Online Map.

  3. Choose the Directions to another address button. The Online Map Address Selector window opens.

  4. Fill in the fields in the window using the drop-down to help you select addressees, and choose the OK button.

  5. Online Map opens a map that shows the route from card address 1 to card address 2 with route directions in the language that you have selected.

Tip
If you want the direction from address 2 to address 1, choose the Directions from another address button instead.
