A synchronization scheme is a document that defines how Microsoft Dynamics NAV records and Outlook items are correlated. It is generated by Microsoft Dynamics NAV in the beginning of the synchronization process for the Outlook client.
The synchronization scheme is created in Microsoft Dynamics NAV to specify the following:

The local copy of the current synchronization schema is kept on the Outlook side in the isolated store in XML-format - precisely as it has been received from Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
